Barcelona is the rare city where you can spend the morning marveling at mosaics and the evening dancing with locals at a beachside club—all without ever calling an Uber.

Before your calendar fills with coffee chats and C-Functions, kick off Sloan with four magical days in Cataluña—where tapas are plentiful, sangria flows freely, and Gaudí’s wildest dreams come to life. Think sunset beach hangs, rooftop cocktails, flamenco shows, and a few churros for good measure.

We’ll stroll the Gothic Quarter, picnic in Gràcia, and chase golden hour at Barceloneta Beach. By day, we’ll explore La Sagrada Família and Park Güell; by night, dance it out in Paradiso and Pacha. Expect jamón Iberico, jet lag, and just a little chaos—in the best way.

Whether you’re looking to nerd out over architecture, relax with a beachside cava, or simply get to know your classmates before orientation begins, this trip has something for everyone.

Itinerary

August 29 - Arrival & Gothic Quarter

Welcome walk through the Gothic Quarter and El Born, and a group dinner at a local tapas bar.

August 30 - Gaudí & Icons

Guided tour of La Sagrada Família and visit to La Pedrera followed by an unforgettable hike and visit to Bunkers el Carmel.

August 31 - Park Güell & Beach

Morning at Park Güell and a sunset by the sea at Barceloneta Beach.

September 1 - Montjuïc & Farewell

Cable car ride to Montjuïc Castle and a final lunch at Mercado de La Boquería.
