About this trip

Wrap up your orientation week with a weekend escape to Portland, Maine, complete with coastal kayaking, a scenic trail walk, and plenty of good food and company. We'll be splitting our time between the ocean and our Airbnb, with home-cooked meals, brewery visits, and time to relax and connect. Whether you're in it for the adventure or the downtime, there's something for everyone!

The trip will be led by Alice (the planner who keeps things moving), James (the resident fashionista), Janet (the steady team glue), and Samraz (the designated vibe supervisor), a crew that met through Sloan’s Operations classes during their first year. They’re joined by Tyler, Alice’s SO and the unofficial Snack Captain, who’s here to keep morale and munchies high. While the team can’t promise perfect logistics, they did make a plan (and maybe a shared spreadsheet or two) to put their hard-earned ops skills to good use.

The vibe? Loose plans, great people, and the kind of memorable moments you’ll be talking about all semester!
